A rising star on the French urban scene, Cofee sign this autumn its very first Solo showpresented from November 28 to December 20, 2025 in Nest Gallery in Aix-en-Provence. After making a strong impression at the gallery's inaugural group exhibition last year, the artist is now taking over the space solo, with a dozen new works. Born in 1990, Cofee takes his name from his early days: a series of portraits painted… in a café. A self-taught artist influenced by hip-hop, breakdancing, and graffiti, he has developed an immediately recognizable aesthetic: a hypnotic blend of realism and calligraffitiwhere the precision of traditional calligraphy meets the free-flowing gesture of graffiti. On his canvases, close-up faces, human or animal, take shape from swirls, arabesques, and carefully crafted nuances of black and white. The intensely lifelike gazes become the beating heart of his compositions.
A veteran of monumental murals—including the impressive Sainte-Manu project in Riom—and a regular presence at numerous venues and festivals in France and internationally, Cofee unveils here a more intimate, more refined work, yet one still driven by the same energy. Nest Gallery has given him free rein to reveal the maturity of a style that continues to evolve, blending instinctive gestures, controlled lines, and increasingly prominent touches of color.
The only gallery in Aix entirely dedicated to urban art, Nest Gallery It thus continues its mission: to bring urban art into homes and to highlight the talents that are renewing this constantly evolving scene.
