Alain Ducasse arrives on Rue de la Préfecture in Nice

Just steps from the Palais de Justice, Alain Ducasse is opening his first Nice location at 17 rue de la Préfecture. This is his second outlet, following the one at Cap3000 in Saint-Laurent-du-Var.

This chocolatier-roaster remains the only one of its kind to produce 100% of the chocolate it uses. From their Parisian workshops on Rue de la Roquette, Quentin Francis-Gaigneux's team roasts, crushes, grinds, and conches the cocoa beans to transform them into chocolate. This process has earned the company the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label awarded by the French government.

The Nice-based shop offers pralines, ganaches, chocolate bars, ice cream, and biscuits. Surprisingly, coffee is also on the menu. This is the other key ingredient favored by the Michelin-starred chef, crafted with the same exacting standards as the cocoa. Raw, intense, and very lightly sweetened, this chocolate, focused on its original flavor, often marks a point of no return for those who try it.
