Until this Monday, October 6, Parc Chanot will be buzzing with the rhythm of an exceptional anniversary: the Marseille International Fair is celebrating its hundredth anniversary. More than a commercial event, the event stands out as a true mirror of the city, where traditions, innovations and a celebration of Marseille's talents mingle. This anniversary edition promises a "crazy" program: exhibitions, concerts, festive evenings, culinary discoveries and unique experiences. The cinema area, in partnership with Provence Studios, immerses visitors behind the scenes of the 7th art, from Marcel Pagnol to Taxi, including recent creations. On the innovation side, the village Innova Marseille gives carte blanche to local start-ups, while the Palace of Games takes the public on a journey through a century of games, from Cluedo to retro gaming. The evenings will punctuate the event: giant karaoke, DJ sets, “Feel Good Party” from the 2000s and especially a big evening on October 3 with fireworks, concerts and a line-up of artists, including Magic System. It is impossible to talk about the Fair without mentioning its unique offer: more than 200 exhibitors for housing, decoration and shopping, pavilions from all over the world – Italy, Vietnam, Armenia, Tropics – and a huge open-air gourmet terrace, with more than 135 food outlets. Finally, Marseille itself will be in the spotlight, with a space dedicated to the label Made in Marseille, bringing together artisans, creators and entrepreneurs who embody the identity and dynamism of the Phocaean city. A century after its creation, the Fair continues to bring together generations and cultures, in a unique atmosphere where people come as much to be inspired as to feast and celebrate.
