• A wave of new arrivals

France’s leading shopping centre is celebrating its 50th anniversary, a golden opportunity to refresh its image and give shopping addicts a new dimension open to the sea

Over the decades, CAP3000 has become a focal point of life on the French Riviera, and over the last 5 years has been pursuing a hugely ambitious expansion project. 70 new shops have already opened. They will be joined by another 50 of the most luxurious labels by the end of 2020, bringing the total number of retail outlets to 300. The centre is expanding from 85,000 to 135,000 m². Culinary options now add up to 23 restaurants and 11 kiosks taking you on a flavour world tour. New names include exclusive brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie & Fitch, each opening their first retail outlet in the south. A first for France, Metropolitan, the well-known Spanish sports club and spa, is taking up residence on the shopping centre roof with a premium ‘all-in-one’ offering: state-of-the-art fitness and gym equipment, courses, hydro-massage pool, sauna, Turkish baths, face and body beauty centre plus open-air solarium with panoramic view over the sea. Wanting to revolutionise the shopping experience, CAP3000 is welcoming new leisure programmes that immerse visitors in an unexpected experience. OCEANS, created in collaboration with the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, offers a 360° digital and sensory odyssey on the ocean floor. Corso, opening at the end of 2020, will be a veritable premium brand showcase, bringing together luxury labels, high jewellery and gastronomic restaurants. In the meantime, the iconic Dior Parfums, Montblanc, Mauboussin and Ladurée are already giving a foretaste of the centre’s move upmarket.
